When Nikki Setzler says he's committed to something, he means it. Just look at his track record when it comes to lowering taxes. He's never voted for a general tax increase and he's one of the Senate's most important leaders in tax reduction. In fact, since 2005, he's voted to return more than a billion dollars annually to taxpayers. This includes both the Property Tax Reform and Sales Tax Relief Act that would eliminate all school operating taxes on owner occupied homes. The estimated property tax relief to homeowners is more than $500 million. Nikki's other tax reducing efforts include:
   • Reducing Grocery Tax relief, reduced from 5% to      0% - returns of $335 million annually
   • Small Business Income Tax Relief - returns of $129      million annually
   • Elimination of bottom income tax bracket - returns      of $86 million annually
   • Increasing the Homestead Exemption from $20,000      to $50,000 per year
   • Guaranteeing a COLA for state retirees and the      police officers' retirement system
